Last Day in Maui

The week has gone by to quickly for my liking, but we have had a great time. The best part was getting to spend an entire week with Nick. Hawaii was nice, too. I (Tom) will be off Sunday to England and then Istanbul for work. I am hoping that I will have some free time in Istanbul to do a little sightseeing between customer meetings. Enjoy the pictures!

We were chilling at the bar by the pool. It was incredibly warm today as the Trade Winds were not blowing at all.

These little guys stalk out the tables just waiting for us to leave to scavenge the leftovers. These birds are either the best-fed birds or they all die early of high cholesterol. We saw one take off with a piece of bacon this morning.

Ahhh... Isn't it cute? Nick's first Pina Colada.

Apparently it was too much for him as this is a picture of the drink on the way to the ground. It must not have been their first dropped drink as the drinks are all served in plastic.

Not quite sunset, but pretty darn close and just as beautiful.

Aloha from Maui

We are a couple days into our vacation. It is beautiful, as always. Nick is a little off schedule and seems to have caught a little cold, but is doing fine otherwise. We went out for an early dinner and aside from having the attention of all the waitresses he was on his best behavior.
They are saying that Felicia is weakening and will likely be a Tropical Depression when it hits Maui Monday night and Tuesday. We have hit the store and are prepared for a couple rainy days. Below are some pictures that I snapped while exploring the resort. Aloha!

View from the lobby. This is one set of pools on the property.

Another of the pools.

Relaxing, isn't it?

I liked the way the clouds had built up on the island in the distance.

Nick out on a walk with his mom.

Just because I liked this picture.

Oh, the wildlife. This little guy was keeping us company.

Had to Share

Simone captured this shot with her iPhone and I thought it needed to be shared. We are safely in Maui. No pictures yet, but there will be. We are expecting the leftovers of hurricane Felicia to hit tomorrow into Tuesday.

And Now For Some Pictures

Here are some pictures of Nick from today.

Five Months Old

Nick is 5 months old today. We will be getting some pictures up later, but here is a short video of Nick rolling around and trying to figure out this crawling thing.

We are surviving the heat wave that the Northwest is dealing with - 107 degrees Fahrenheit is just a little much for Portland, Oregon. Next week we are all off to Maui! Aloha!

Vacation

We made our first trip with Nick - flying to North Carolina for the annual Holden Beach Vacation. I came back yesterday while Simone and Nick are staying for a few more days. Nick traveled great sleeping most of the trip. Always a great time. Below are some pictures from my week.

4 Months Old

Nick hit 4 months on Wednesday. His 4 month checkup went great - he is a happy, healthy, baby. His latest stats: 14 lbs 13 oz (50% percentile), 25 inches long (75%), and his head is in the 95% percentile (we didn't realize his noggin was so big!).

Here are some pictures at 4 months. Tomorrow we leave for Holden Beach - wish us luck!
